A GoH sponsored memorial gathering

It occurred to me that the GoH is suited to sponsoring a memorial gathering at the Khalo Pub in remembrance of those who have left us.

Thoughts?  I thought maybe this Weekend, maybe on Saturday morning Cavern Time and Saturday late afternoon or evening?  That way people in any time zone can join us.

I think it's a lovely idea, ghaelen.  I wouldn't be able to come Saturday evening, but morning or afternoon up til about 5 p.m. would work.  (I guess all of us wouldn't have to be there all the time, anyway?)  I see you posted over at MOUL & people seem pretty positive about it.  Not sure how you want to structure it--anything I can help with?

(Sorry I told you I was going to post about Circles Redux & haven't.  The only circles I've had time to think about were the ones I've been running in the last couple of days, lol.  I'm just thinking in general terms of joining up a community that's been fragmented.  But acknowledging the empty spaces left by those who left involuntarily seems like a good place to start.)

LOL, Jane, I certainly do know how running in circles goes!  I did that all day today.

Here is something that took shape as I typed on MOUL just now:

"Whatever we do, it will likely be on Saturday, once around 11:00 Cavern Time (11:00am, Mountain Time) and then again at maybe 18:00 Cavern Time (6:00pm MST). Those aren't perfect times, but I suspect we'll proceed as casually as we do for most Healers events and that each segment will last at least an hour so people can stop for a while and be with others (and their memories) before heading off to whatever else they must do in a day. "

I myself have an obligation in the middle of my day, but can be there for the first and back for the second segment.  I think it is safe to say there will be people there who would carry the momentum if it went on too long and I had to go (like you... /wink). 

Let us see if we can talk our D'niJ into some nice reminiscent-type music.

OK, MOUL and GoH forums posts posted, lol.  I'm attempting to send out a Hood KImail (and to individuals once that test is completed).  I'd love to know, how the KImail circulation works as a method of communication.  If you get the KImail, and successfully pass it on, will you post here and let me know?


This is a little short notice, but I felt strongly this was the weekend to do it (don't know why).  It is a casual gathering, and so whomever can come, great!  Hope to see you there.

Sorry not to have been around/posted this week.  The first couple days I was running in circles, then I collapsed from the running, then I had to run in circles again to make up for the collapse.   Hopefully will find a better balance, in RL & Uru both, for the next couple of days, anyway.

/rotfl  I so do understand that sequence of events.  I am empathetic for you, and at the same time I am really laughing out loud!

10:30 Cavern/9:30 PST is fine for me, or if you're around this evening, we could talk then?  I'm going to be out all afternoon, but will probably get back home around 5:30 or so (7:30 your time), could come in anytime after that.

Empathy & /rotfl are not mutually exclusive, lol.  In my experience, they often go together!

Sounds like good advice to me.  But I'm waiting for someone to re-make the Minkata marker mission (the one that leads you to all the kivas)--too lazy to do the vectoring thing myself!

I just logged into MOUL (you weren't there but I will check back again in a bit) with both "Jane" and "GoHJane," & neither one had received a KI mail about the memorial gathering.  So--not sure if you sent me one? but if so, it seems to have gotten lost in transit.
