Hello everyone, please introduce yourself below. It doesn't matter whether you are experienced or learning in regard to the Guild of Healers, or if you want to know more about the healing arts in general.  All are welcome.

Now if I could just meet that person.

Hi,
Let me introduce myself. I am Veralun. Online I am active in everything which interests me.
In Real Live I am working with homeopathy and use that skill mainly for treating animals. I do all sorts of animals but I prefer horses and dogs because their strong characters.
I am a nature person and I love to work with it and to live in it.
I am very interested in the signals animals, plants and minerals are giving us.
They can work in a healing way and I try to learn to understand these signals.
I am impressed by the powers of nature. I see wonderfull results when using these powers.
Also I see that in the D'ni culture there was and is a rich nature culture. A culture which was also used for healing.
I like to know more about that and want to search for the healing powers in the D'ni culture.
It would be great to share this on these forums.

My name is Ghaelen

I am an historian in RL, and have worked in aromatherapy and art for many years.  Before I returned to college I studied the properties of plants, created fragrances, and blended aromatherapy oils/creams for others.  I create fragrance blends for incense and home fragrance creations, adding that little touch of essential oil to give it that special touch.  I paint in oils when I can, and work in pottery as well.  My specialty is functional, organic art.

The Cavern is a special place for me.  I find it restful, colorful, calming.  Even as the history of it contains violence and strife (as most histories do) it is a place I can go to be at peace.  The D'ni were not perfect, but they did know about color, shape, and texture.  The guild of healers intrigues me because they knew about the various healing properties of everything a writer would write into an age.

I'd like to learn more about the D'ni Healers and explore ways in which the Guild might become active again.  I would also like to meet other people who find this idea interesting, too..

I'm... among other names... Lord Chaos. Smiley

I'm scattered around on a number of fora, so it's not hard to find out my secrets. If you want to know more and have time to browse, here's the place to start:
http://lntouch.blogspot.com/

As for healing... it's something I've been working on for many years. I try to bring peace and beauty wherever I go but am often unsuccessful. This is discouraging, but it's not healing if it's forced on people. That's a problem in our world: forcing people.

What can I offer here? Mainly an attitude. And music. Smiley If you have questions, feel free to ask.

I am a full time Mum to our Son, who is 5 on the 23rd Feb, I like Genealogy, computers, photography, reading and playing computer games.  I am an Enrolled Nurse.  I would like to get into healing.  Years ago a patient said to me I had healing hands and someone else has said I have healing hands.  I like using essential oils and crystals.  I like to meditate when I can.
I like the Kadish Tolesa age in MOUL as I think it is a peaceful age with beautiful colours in it.

Hi ya Itiseye Mee Szark and like the others I am interested in the healing effects of natural plants, elements and positive thinking but from the point of view that I need healing.  Healing of both mind and body.   A few years back I had an incident, caused by some prescribed medicine that made me violent.  This pushed me to tackle my chronic pain without, so called, traditional medicines and to seek out more user friendly ones. I found meditation to be a good tool but mastering it is a different story especially when one's mind is always thinking.

I found that having access to the cavern and ages opened my mind to explore myself further.  I loved to sit in Negilahn listening to the, trance inducing, jungle sounds.  I did some of my best writing in that pod...........but the best healing of all came with meeting explorers and building friendships that will probably out last the cavern.

Shorah everyone. Cheesy

I am joining this guild because of my interest in herbology, and medicinal plants.
Let me say right now I have no experience. Absolutely none. However I am willing to learn. On the surface what I am currently learning about (at a very slow rate) is the use of plants and healing in earth-based spiritualities.
So yeah. I can't wait to help out here Smiley

Cheesy Shorah. I am Ruby O'Degee

I am no good with plants of any sort (they never talk to me, ahchoo), but I do acknowledge the medicinal value of plants and stress reducing meditation.  Working with Ghaelen in a small way on Eder D'Uru is fun.  Last night we literally threw a swinging bridge out over the sea.  Ghaelen whipped up a glass atrium, and constructed a dance floor that mirrors the sky.  I am relieved she did not make the floor one of those see through floors, like the one made for tourists in the Grand Canyon.  It is a known tidbit that along with a potful of phobias, Ruby is afraid of heights, flying and criticism  suspious laugh

In between our visits in the lovely peaceful serenity of the healer's enclave (concave, grassy area, park), I went searching for the missing Cavern Communications Network studio.  The story about how that came about is being told on the CCN forum, but suffice it to say I desperately needed to keep my D'Uru hat on.  After the whole mess of hunting down the office and digging the blessed mess out the crack it slipped into, the healer's enclave (concave, grassy area, park) looked good.  Then after two minutes of lotus sitting Ruby got antsy.  I got up and opened boxes.  Boxes and wrapping were strewn everywhere when Ghaelen arrived.  I don't think Ruby always makes the best impression.  Oh dear, she is trying to mellow out.  This is why she belongs in a group called healers.  SHE IS HERE TO HEAL THYSELF  embarrass

By the way LC, when do you wanna meet and talk about gigs schedules and live streaming.  I promise to come after several minutes of peaceful sitting in the enclave (concave, grassy area, park), and after I've drank my share of Uwigor's Medicinal Remedy, also known (by Madge) as Red Lake Algae Tea.

EDIT:  oh and for those of you, who have no earthly, fire, wind and water idea who Ruby is, or whether I am talking about two or three people here.  I am talking about 4 who all share my same neurons.  We intermittently speak about one another and to one another.  We all like the tea.

Shorah B'Shemtee.

I am, as I suppose it's obvious to see, Kanrahd.

I'm utterly horrible at monolouging, especially about myself.  So in the end, I suppose just talking to me is the best way to get to know me.
